  4. The DreamSDK has been updated for Ray Dream Studio 5. Extensions programmed using the SDK 
  5. for previous versions of Ray Dream Studio will require minor modifications to make them 
  6. compatible with version 5.

  8. Changes include:
  9.  
  10. * Conversion from fixed point to floating point mathematics
  11. * Discontinued support of Macintosh 68k and Win32s platforms
  12. * Standardization on COM for dynamic linking (discontinued support of EVX)
  13. * Support for several new types of extensions
  14.  
  15. The contents of the Build, Include, Lib, Samples, and DemoExt directories on this CD reflect
  16. these changes, and are compliant with the Ray Dream Studio 5 API.

  20. To view the DreamSDK documentation, you will need to install Adobe's Acrobat Reader. You can
  21. install the Acrobat reader using the installer in the Acrobat directory under the root 
  22. directory of the CD.
